Aaah, Summer! It stays light for so long, and the evenings are warm for sitting out. After cold, dark winters, it is a gift. Enter the fireflies, who light up the evening after the sun has set.

I enjoy watching them move about. It is a peaceful, magical time.

They’re around for only a short time, but they’re reliable, like good workers, so I wanted to pay tribute to them.

Lingering summer
Light fades—fireflies check in
