Syracuse Poster Project Banner

Dani Pendergast
Syracuse has become a home for me, especially Westcott Street. I knew I wanted to show it in my illustration since itís so special. I picked the haiku because I felt like it was one that everyone could relate with as it couldíve happened anywhere in Syracuse.

My process for the illustration was entirely digital and drawn on my iPad. My push of perspective was a way to show Wescott in a way that it maybe hasnít been shown before. The perspective also allows the viewers to create their own identities for the girls in the image.

gentle morning rain
morning's hopscotch washed away
girls dance in puddles
