The Syracuse Poster Project protects privacy as follows:
Visitors: We do no tracking of the e-mail or Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of people who simply visit the web site. Many web sites use small computer files, known as cookies, to retain information about users. We may store cookies on your computer to facilitate and customize your use of our website.
Customers: When customers place orders via the web site, we require a name, billing and shipping address, e-mail address, telephone number, credit card number, and a telephone number for the bank that issued the credit card (found on the back of the credit card). We need this information to fulfill your order and to verify the payment. The information is protected during transmission by Secure Socket Layer encryption (SSL). To fulfill your order, the Poster Project contracts with The Copy Centers, a full-service printing and copy service at 131 S. Salina St., Syracuse. The staff charges your credit card, prints and ships your order, then eliminates the credit card information.
Further contact: We may occasionally notify customers of new poster series, new aspects of our public art initiative, or new opportunities to participate. If you would prefer that we don’t reach you, we will discard your contact information. At the end of the billing form, in the box for customers’ notes, write: “Don’t keep my contact info.”
Use of contact information by third parties: We do not sell, rent, or give customers’ contact information to third parties.
